Craving a little sweetness without the sugar crash?

Get ready to twist, turn, and unwind with our Candy Cane Stringable! This project is the perfect way to add a "minty fresh" touch to your holiday decor while giving your mind a well-deserved break. Whether you stick to the classic red-and-white stripes or go rogue with a rainbow of colors, this is one holiday treat that lasts forever.

Why it’s a total treat:

  • A Sweet Escape: Let the repetitive motion of stringing soothe your holiday stress. It’s a recipe for instant calm in a busy season.

  • Get Twisted: Follow a traditional stripe pattern or create your own abstract design. Remember, there’s no wrong way to Stringable—just follow your creative cravings!

  • Everlasting Decor: Unlike the real thing, this candy cane won’t get sticky or stale. String it up, hang it on the wall (or your tree!), and enjoy it year after year.

  • Reusable Fun: Want to change your flavor next season? Simply unstring and start a new design. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Start Simple...

There’s really no wrong way to Stringable, but endless ways TO Stringable...

To get the hang of it start with something simple, like the star on the right, then let your imagination run wild!

  • Up / Down pattern:

The basic Up/Down pattern. Simply thread up through one hole, down the next, and repeat. To double it up, just reverse it! Tip: Repeat patterns. For instance, in the above example, the Stringer always came up on the left of the first string, and down on the right.

  • Loop the edges:

A very simple technique, simply thread through a hole on the outer edge of your Stringable, loop around the edge, then thread through the next hole.

The top half in the photo above is a single loop, the bottom is a double loop.

  • Up / Down crossover:

For this one, run the string over multiple holes, then preform the Up/Down pattern while crossing over the first string.

The top is a single Up/Down, the bottom is a double Up/Down.
